第六课：Percy Buttons

在这节课中我们主要学习冠词的使用。

I have just moved to a house in Bridge Street. Yesterday a beggar knocked at my door. He asked me for a meal and a glass of beer.In return for this, the beggar stood on his head and sang songs. I gave him a meal. He ate the food and drank the beer. Then he put a piece of cheese in his pocket and went away .Later a neighbour told me about him. Everybody knows him. His name is Perey Buttons. He calls at every house in the street once a month and always asks for a meal and a glass of beer.

我刚刚搬进了大桥街的一所房子。昨天一个乞丐来敲我的门，问我要一顿饭和一杯啤酒，作为回报，乞丐头顶地倒立起来，嘴里还唱着歌。 我给了他一顿饭。 他把食物吃完，又喝了酒。然后把一块乳酪装进衣袋走了。后来，一位邻居告诉了我我他的情况。大家都认识他，他叫珀西.巴顿斯。他每个月对这条街上的每户人家光顾一次，总是请求给他一顿饭或者一顿啤酒。

1. beggar n. 乞丐

   beg v. 乞讨；乞求，恳求
   beg for food/help 乞讨食物，气球帮助
   I beg your pardon? = pardon?
   我祈求你的原谅        原谅

2. food n. 食物

3. pocket n. 衣服口袋

   pocket money 零用钱

4. call v. 拜访，光顾

   call on sb./call at sp.

   人用on/地方用at

   如果想简单一点可以使用visit sb./sp.

语法

例如：
______ air pollution is a serious probles.
空气污染是一个严重的问题
首次提到而且不是可数名词，所以不加冠词
______ air pollution of Beijing must be solved at once.
北京的空气污染必须被解决。
明确对象了用the，所以第一个词填the


Lisa gave me _______ tea as _______ gift.
丽萨给我茶叶作为礼物。
第一个空因为第一次出现而且不是单数，所以填  some/不填。
第二个空第一次出现礼物可数名词，所以填 a
______ tea tasted good.
前文中提到过这个茶叶，所以在这里我们就可以直接用   the

元音前用an。
